Barista Basics
BARISTA BASICS is a journey from coffee's origins in Ethiopia to the major commodity it is today, enjoyed by millions of people around the world. From farming the cherries through drying, roasting, brewing, and finally drinking, this module looks at the processes coffee goes through. This course also includes a “coffee cupping” which allows you to taste the various flavors coffee has to offer.
Intro to Roasting
Introduction to Roasting is a one day course designed to give new or prospective roasters the knowledge and skill to find success in the craft of coffee roasting. Topics covered include basic roasting techniques, roast levels, roast profiles, cupping, green coffee buying, building a roasting program, roastery and of course, fire safety. Students will have a chance to participate in hands-on roasting and cupping along with classroom instruction. Students will walk away with newfound confidence and a wealth of information as well as a bag of their own roasted bean
MILK SCIENCE AND LATTE ART
Milk Science & Latte Art is a barista training course which takes you from dairy to cup. Our goal with this course is to train baristas and coffee lovers in everything from milk chemistry to milk pitcher grips. This course coaches you in how to steam milk and how to pour latte art; from the most basic standard up to the level of the Australian Latte Art Champion.
